• MALESAN

Rouge 2019 Bordeaux Terra Vitis AOC

    FRANCE

Malesan Rouge is the result of pure Bordeaux tradition thanks to the blend of 3 emblematic grape varieties of the region: Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Six months of aging in oak barrels are necessary to give it all the intensity for which it is famous.
Malesan rouge is a wine blending a harmony of black fruits and woody notes, slightly vanilla. The true definition of a chic wine with character! Admire its deep red color and appreciate the garnet reflections that are revealed in the light. Its fragrant nose will reveal a fruity aromatic palette supported by a fine and discreet woodwork.
Malesan is a wine of character but it is also (eco) responsible! We are determined to limit the impact of our actions on the planet while preserving the quality of our wines. Thus, since 2019 our Bordeaux red wine has been produced in accordance with the Terra Vitis certification, a certification recognized by the State and part of a sustainable approach.

  • MAISON

Louis Girard Pinot Noir 2020 Burgundy AOC

    FRANCE

The geological origins and the physical and chemical make-up of the Burgundy soils are very diverse. Despite the variations, Burgundy retains a certain geological unity from north to south: sedimentary soils composed of clay, marl and limestone on a substrate of granite, lava, gneiss and a variety of schists. The Pinot Noir is known under this name since 1375 and is the pride of the region. It is him, with his fragility and uniqueness, that makes for the richness and notoriety of Burgundy. The climate here is continental, with cold winters, hot summers and a short, rainy autumn season.
Cold maceration prior to fermenting, then vinification in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. After 15 days maceration, 30% of the cuvée is aged in barrels.

FOOD PAIRING: Delicious served with aubergine fritters, veal escalope á la milanaise, or a semi-hard cheese such as Saint Nectaire.

  • JACOB’S CREEK

    CLASSIC SERIES WINE

    AUSTRALIA

HISTORY: The name ‘Jacob’s Creek’ is embedded in the origins of the Orlando winery whose history can be traced back to 1847 when young Bavarian immigrant Johann Gramp planted the first commercial vineyard in the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

His chosen site was the banks of a small natural waterway known as Jacob’s Creek; situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley which is now one of Australia’s most renowned wine regions.

Johann’s pioneering spirit was celebrated in 1976 with the launch in Australia of the first  “Jacob’s Creek”wine – a Shiraz Cabernet Malbec blend made from the 1973 vintage.  It rapidly became one of Australia’s most popular red wines and became an international success story when Orlando began exporting the wines in 1984.

Acquired by Pernod Ricard in 1989. Jacob’s Creek soon became Australia’s most successful export brand and in 1993 won the Australian Exporters of the Year. In the following year, Jacob’s Creek won the highly coveted Maurice O’Shea award in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the Australian wine industry.
Soon after a new era for Jacob’s Creek began with the launch of its Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir in 1998 and the Reserve range in 2000.
Today, the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre welcomes over 150,000 visitors from all over the world every year, overlooking the same creek where it all began with Johann Gramp planting his first vines over 185 years ago.

Jacob’s Creek’s philosophy is all about producing fresh, contemporary elegant wines which are ready upon release,  and can also be enjoyed over time with careful cellaring. They are renowned for their consistent quality and styles available to suite any occasion.

The grapes are sourced from several wine-growing regions in southeast Australia. This enables the winegrowers to select the ideal grapes for each style of wine, and achieve consistent high quality by overcoming the weather-related variability that can be experienced in a single region. The aim is to produce wines which express the true character of each grape variety, while maintaining perfect balance.

  • PENFOLDS

    RWT WINE

    AUSTRALIA

Penfolds RWT Shiraz presents an admirable alternative to the multi-regional sourcing and American oak maturation that are hallmarks of Grange, expressing instead, single-region Barossa Valley shiraz matured in French oak barriques. The initials RWT stand for ‘Red Winemaking Trial’, the name given to the project internally when developmental work began in 1995. RWT Shiraz was launched in May 2000 with the 1997 vintage. Its style is opulent and fleshy, contrasting with Grange, which is more muscular and assertive. RWT is made from fruit primarily selected for its aromatic qualities and fine texture rather than sheer intensity or power of flavour. The result is a wine that helps to redefine Barossa shiraz at the highest quality level.Penfolds

  • PENFOLDS

    ST HENRI WINE

    AUSTRALIA

St Henri is a time-honoured and alternative expression of shiraz, and an intriguing counterpoint to Grange. It is unusual among high quality Australian red wines as it does not rely on any new oak. Released for the first time by Penfolds in the early 1950s (first commercial vintage 1957), it gained a new lease of life in the 1990s as its quality and distinctive style became better understood. Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, arthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, 1,460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure, the focal point for St Henri remains shiraz.

    BIN SERIES WINE

    AUSTRALIA

Founded in 1844 by at young English doctor, Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold, vine cuttings from the south of France were planted around the site of the modest stone cottage he built with his wife Mary at Magill, on the outskirts of Adelaide.

Penfolds™ reputation for making wines of provenance and cellaring potential might suggest a mantle of tradition and formality is the preferred attire of a company with so much history to defend. But to label Penfolds as simply an established and conventional winemaker, would be to confuse tradition with consideration and to overlook the innovative spirit that has driven Penfolds since its foundation, and continues to find expression in modern times.

  • FUGUE DE NENIN

    2018 Pomerol AOC

    FRANCE

The second wine of Château Nénin, the Fugue de Nénin expresses all of the grandeur of a great Pomerol red wine, full of elegance and delicacy.

A vintage of strong climatic contrasts, 2018 will be remembered in Bordeaux for its wet winter, followed by a mild and rainy spring. From July onwards, the summer brought radiant sunshine that lasted until the date of the harvest. The grape harvest began on September 13th and ended on October 10th, taking place under the best possible climatic and health conditions, with the fruit having reached the perfect stage of ripeness.

Blending Merlot (88%) and Cabernet Franc, the Château Nénin’s Fugue de Nénin 2018 offers a magnificent Pomerol expression. The vintage unveils a beautiful dress with a rich purple colour, and shimmering purple reflections. The aromatic bouquet seduces with its intense fruity expression, literally leaping from the glass to reveal aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant jam and plum, with hints of chocolate. Fresh cedar notes, delicate floral fragrances (iris) and mineral graphite notes accentuate a bouquet so characteristic of Pomerol. On the palate, the Fugue de Nénin 2018 packs a delicious tannic structure, evolving a generous and juicy texture, and a fresh finish with beautiful minty notes. A magnificent Pomerol from Château Nénin in a great vintage for Bordeaux.

  • CHATEAU LAFON ROCHET

    2011 St-Estephe AOC

    FRANCE

This ancient estate can trace its origins back to the early 16th century, at which time “Rochet” belonged to the vast Vallée Roussillon feudal estate. Chateau Lafon-Rochet stayed in the Lafon family for two years, despite the upheaval of the French Revolution. They were also owners in 1855, when their wine received the ultimate recognition as a great growth, along with only four others in the Saint-Estèphe appellation.

The chateau is in a choice location, in one of the most prestigious winegrowing areas in the world – between Cos d’Estoumel and Lafite-Rothschild (to the south). It is thus hardly surprising that Guy Tesseron, famous for the quality of his old Cognac, was attracted to Lafon-Rochet some 40 years ago.

After acquiring the estate, he decided that the existing cellar was unworthy of such a fine wine, and had it razed. He built an entirely new one and, in a highly unusual move, built a new chateau as well, in the style of the 17th century chartreuse manor house. Thanks to the great care and attention lavished on Lafon-Rochet, it has become one of the standard bearers of the great wines of Saint-Estèphe in France and around the world.

    APPEARANCE

Has smooth tannins, beautiful balance, a silky texture, and is altogether sensual.

    AROMA

It is both simple and complex, with black fruit aromas in most vintages.

    PALATE

Just as grandma’s old apple tree at the bottom of the garden has tastier apples, grapes from old vines product wine with more flavor and concentration.

    FINISH

It exemplifies a smoothness and expression unique to Saint-Estephe, as well as a certain warmth and elegant roundness due to the Merlot grape.

  • CHATEAU PEDESCLAUX

    2017 Pauillac AOC

    FRANCE

Founded in 1810 on the prestigious terroir of Pauillac, Château Pédesclaux is one of the most beautiful properties of the Médoc on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region.

Complex, deep, powerful and voluptuous, the wines of Château Pédesclaux embody the excellence of Pauillac through a style that preserves the freshness of the fruit.

Blessed with an exceptional terroir, the Château Pédesclaux vineyard is located in the immediate vicinity of the Gironde estuary, which protected the vines from the damage caused by the episodes of frost at the end of April 2017. The climatological conditions that followed made it possible for the fruit to enjoy optimal development through the vegetative cycle and the harvest came early. The phenolic ripeness, the freshness of the fruit, the perfect sugar-acidity balance, the long and finely-grained tannins, the expression of each grape variety… this is a promising vintage indeed.

Resulting from a rigorous selection of only the best batches and from the strong will of the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzetti, the Château Pédesclaux 2017 presents a blend with a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), supplemented by Merlot (25%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (3%).

With its beautiful bouquet, on which Cabernet Sauvignon has clearly left its mark, the Château Pédesclaux 2017 reveals powerful notes of cassis and black berries, which give way to spicy scents of cinnamon, aniseed and liquorice, enhanced by fresh pepper notes. A monument of structure, the palate reveals elegant and voluptuous tannins whose fine grain coats the palate nicely, without the power of the fruit weakening in the mouth but stretching into a superb mineral finish. Complete, intense, endowed with a superb depth and remarkably delicate fruit, all the elements are in place to make Château Pédesclaux 2017 a great Pauillac ready to evolve in the bottle over the next few decades.

    APPEARANCE

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color.

    AROMA

The nose reveals a stunning perfume of wilted roses, lilacs and Ceylon tea, over a core of kirsch, raspberry pie and warm blackberries plus touches of garrigue and pencil shavings.

    PALATE

Medium-bodied, fresh and fragrant in the mouth, it has soft, easy-going tannins.

  • CHATEAU CHAUVIN

    2016 St-Emilion Grand Cru

    FRANCE

The vineyard is located to the north-east of Saint-Emilion, near Pomerol, half-way between Cheval-Blanc and La Cote Roi. The 37 acres are planted with 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernent Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The soil of the estate is sandy while the subsoil is characterised by the presence of clay and iron.

We have been in partnership with BIOVITIS since 1994. Half of the vineyard is ploughed mechanically, while the other half is cultivated with grass-cover between the rows. Green harvesting is carried out throughout the vegetation cycle, to bring yields to 35 to 40 Hl/Ha.

At Chauvin the wine is made in the traditional way, while also making the most of what modernity has to offer: nothing is done systematically and each year every effort is focused on adapting the techniques to the qualities of that year’s grapes.

    APPEARANCE

    The medium garnet-purple colored.

    AROMA

Has quite a meaty/savory nose of chargrill, black olives, sautéed herbs and truffles with a core of baked plums and lifted black cherry compote

  • CHATEAU PICHON BARON

    2014 Pauillac AOC

    FRANCE

The Estate was founded in the late 17th Century. This period was known as the Grand Siecle, or “great century”, in reference to Louis XIV’s 1661 accession to the French throne. In 1689 Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan, an influential wine merchant and steward of the prestigious Latour and and Margaux estates, bought plots of vines close to the Latour estate to create Enclos Rauzan. These vines were part of his daughter Therese’s dowry when she married Baron Jacques Pichon de Longueville in 1694, the year in which the Pichon Baron estate was founded. An illustrious estate, with an enduring reputation, was born. It remained in the same family for generations.

In 1850 the property was divided in two. Baron Raoul Pichon de Longueville’s section became the Pichon Baron estate. The second section, belonging to his three sisters, became Pichon Comtesse. Baron Raoul was proud of his prestigious property, and in 1851 he commissioned the imposing chateau inspired by Renaissance architecture that we know today. This uniquely charming and romantic chateau, with its two emblematic turrets, has stood proudly at the vineyard’s heart ever since. During the Universal Exhibition of 1855, the wine was classed as a Second Grand Cru Classe according to the ranking system requested by Emperor Napoleon III, who wished to showcase Bordeaux’s great wines. In 1933, the Pichon de Longueville family sold the property to the Bouteiller family, who managed the chateau for over 50 years.

In 1987 the estate was bought by AXA Millesimes, whose aim is to enable great wines from the vineyards with a glorious past to achieve their full potential. An architectural competition was launched in collaboration with the Paris Pompidou Centre to provide the estate with new operational buildings. The comprehensive reconstruction of the fermenting room and cellar, and renovation of the chateau, began in 1988.

Since then, the 19th century chateau’s image has been reflected in an ornamental pool stretching majestically before it.. And since 2008, its silvery expanse conceals an underground cellar, reminiscent of Jules Verne’s Nautilus, with view of both the water and sky. The barrel cellar complements a production process in which excellence is paramount, in the finest tradition of great Pauillac wines.

    APPEARANCE

  • CHATEAU D’ARMAILHAC

    2017 Pauillac AOC

    FRANCE

Chateau d’Armailhac, classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, is a close neighbor of Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Its 123 acres of vines, surrounding the beautiful grounds of the main house, are planted with the typical varieties of the region: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

The estate, in the d’Armailhacq family since the 18th century and named Chateau Mouton d’Armailhacq after them, was acquired by Baron Philippe in 1933. Between 1956 and 1989, it was called successively Chateau Mouton Baron Phillipe then Chateau Mouton Baronne Phillipe. In 1989, Baroness Phillipine de Rothschild restored part of its original identity, renaming it Chateau d’Armailhac. The wine, aged in oak casks, combines finesse and elegance with powerful, well-structured tannins.

  • CHATEAU DU TERTE

    2018 Margaux AOC

    FRANCE

The 54 hectare Chateau du Tertre vineyard is planted to 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The du Tertre vineyard is planted in one large single block of vines. This is one of the largest single blocks in Margaux, as well as in all of the Medoc.
It is important to note that their vineyard is also one of the few estates that is the same size today, as it was at the time of the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The terroir is mostly gravel, with some sand soils on two, gentle, sloping hills. The elevation close to the chateau graduates up to 27 meters, making it one of the highest peaks in the Margaux appellation. The location for much of the vineyard is situated close to a forest, which produces a slightly cooler, micro-climate.The cooler ambient temperature adds more freshness to the wines. Geographically, they are next to their sister property, Chateau Giscours. In fact, only a small stream separates the two vineyards. Their best parcels are located just behind the chateau, and as well as on the peaks of their gravel hills.

The vineyard density is planted to 9,200 vines per hectare. On average, the vines are close to 40 years of age. The estate also has older vines that are almost 70 years old. The oldest vines are their Cabernet Franc, which they are using for their own Massal selection.

For the vinification of Chateau du Tertre, the wines are vinified in a combination of 24 wood tanks, 10 concrete vats, 4 small cement eggs and 16 stainless steel tanks that range in size from 10 hectoliters up to 180 hectoliters, which allows for true, parcel by parcel vinification. The thermo regulated vats are filled by gravity. Chateau du Tertre vinifies on a parcel by parcel basis at temperatures ranging from 25 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius. Chateau du Tertre was one of the first Bordeaux wine producers to begin using the cement Nomblot egg shaped, cement vats. The estate uses 4 egg shaped vats in total. These vats add more minerality to the wine. Malolactic fermentation takes place in a combination of French oak barrels and vats with 40% of the Malolactic fermentation taking place in barrel and 60% taking place in concrete vats. Chateau du Tertre spends on average 18 months in 50% new, French oak barrels and is lightly fined with egg whites.

  • CHATEAU CANTENAC BROWN

    2018 Margaux AOC

    FRANCE

At Château Cantenac Brown, a prestigious reference of the Margaux appellation, 2018 will be remembered as an unparalleled and exceptional vintage.

After a complicated start, due to a rainy weather, the summer sun finally appeared. At Château Cantenac-Brown, the beautiful late-season brought warm days and cool nights, helping the fruit achieve perfect phenolic maturity and a nice aromatic concentration. The small berries with thick skin were full of anthocyanins, ideal for the production of deep-coloured wines with tannins that show great freshness, roundness and length on the palate.

2018 also rewarded the hard work and know-how of the technical teams at Château Cantenac-Brown, an estate located on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. Throughout the year, the teams paid constant attention to the vineyard, making a great effort to bring it to its best.

With its blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (69%), complemented by Merlot (28%) and Cabernet Franc (3%), the Château Cantenac Brown 2018 shows off the characteristics typical of a great Margaux, achieved through the perfect maturity of each grape variety. • CHATEAU FONREAUD

    2011 Listrac-Medoc AOC

    FRANCE

The name Fonréaud, which stems from a legend, is located on the rooftop of the Médoc, making it an exceptional estate.

“Fonréaud”, called “Font-réaux” in centuries gone by, means “Royal Fountain”. Legend has it that in the 12th century, the King of England and husband of Eleanor of Aquitaine, Henry II Plantagenet, stopped here to quench his thirst and drank from a spring of cool water. The spring still exists in our park today.

The cellars were built in the 17th century, then modified over time. The Chateau replaced the original farm building when then owner Henri Le Blanc de Mauvezin decided to build it in 1850.

The Chateau was built to the plans of Bordeaux architect Garros and completed in 1855. Its very elegant architecture appeals to visitors.

  • CHATEAU LATOUR CARNET

    2016 Haut-Medoc AOC

    FRANCE

The origins of La Tour Carnet lie in the Middle Ages, although the exact details are lost in the mists of time. Initially named Chateau de Saint-Laurent, some parts of the building, specifically the round tower, date from the 11th Century. The fortress was inhabited as early as the 12th Century, by the English, and it constituted a valuable military asset when Bordeaux was under English rule. The seigneurie of St-Laurent at this time was held by the Foix family, who were closely allied to the English king. Nevertheless, the land eventually fell to French rule once again, to which the then incumbent Comte Jean de Foix refused to submit, a decision that would eventually cost him his life. He was defeated by le beau Dunois, a compatriot of Jeanne d’Arc, and the impressive castle was partly destroyed. Following these events the ruined property passed through the hands of a succession of owners, before coming to Thibault de Carmaing in the 16th Century and eventually to Charles de Leutken, a man of Swedish origin, two hundred years after that. It remained with his descendents, and at the time of the 1855 classification was under the direction of Angélique Raymond, the wife of Jean-Jacques Leutken, who extolled a vineyard which covered 52 hectares. The current owner is Bernard Magrez, who is the proprietor of a number of other Bordeaux estates, most notably Pape Clément in Pessac-Léognan and Fombrauge in Saint Émilion.

  • CHATEAU CLOS FLORIDENE

    2018 Graves AOC

    FRANCE

The name and history of Clos Floridène simply evokes the names of its founders: Denis and Florence Dubourdieu. At its beginnings, in 1982, Clos Floridène is a small enclosure with 2 hectares of old white vines of Sémillon and Muscadelle, a winemaker’s house, an old cellar and 2 ha of wasteland planted since their acquisition in Cabernet Sauvignon. Gradually, by successive purchases of neighboring parcels, is constituted the current vineyard. In 1991, Clos Floridène grew significantly by joining Château Montalivet, a vineyard of 13 ha, mostly contiguous to Floridène.

Exclusively maintained by traditional plowing, the terroir of the Clos Floridène vineyard receives no herbicide. Organic manures are based on vegetable composts. Ebourgeonnages, trellings and stripping are done by hand with meticulous care. Clos Floridène produces a dry white wine and a red wine from the Graves appellation. The red vineyard (17.3 ha) has a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) associated with 28% Merlot.

  • CHATEAU COUTET

    2018 Barsac AOC

    FRANCE

The Grand Vin of the estate, the Château Coutet 2018 reveals all the qualities typical of a great Barsac.

Located in the south of Bordeaux, the Premier Grand Cru Classé of Barsac Château Coutet is one of the essential references of its appellation. The plantation of the estate is dominated by Sémillon (75%), supplemented by Sauvignon Blanc (23%) and Muscadelle (2%). The Grand Vin is matured for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Following a spring marked by heavy rainfall, the beautifully dry and sunny summer favored an ideal ripening of the fruit. The drought of August and September contributed to a late development of botrytis. At Chateau Coutet, the grape harvest began on October 5th and ended on November 5th with 4 successive manual selections.

The Chateau Coutet 2018 presents a beautiful straw yellow color in the glass. The beautifully expressive aromatic bouquet evolves a palette of citrus notes – bitter orange, grapefruit -, as well as sweet white peach, all enhanced by spicy notes, like ginger. On the palate, a fresh and lively attack leads to a deliciously velvety, dense texture that is also perfectly balanced. Full of freshness, the long finish leaves behind notes of orange and spice. A very nice vintage of a Barsac Grand Cru Classe, which is fresh, lively, unctuous and balanced.

    WINE ADVOCATE-PARKER:

Pale to medium lemon-gold colored, the 2018 Coutet has super intense, well-delineated notions of warm pineapple, green guava and baked pineapple with hints of mandarin peel, gingerbread, orange blossoms and lime leaves. The palate is alive with energetic tropical fruit and exotic spice notes with a lovely satiny texture and fantastic freshness, finishing with epic length.

    2017 Barsac AOC

    FRANCE

A First Classified Growth of 1855 in the Barsac appellation, Château Coutet is a must-have for those passionate about the great wines of Bordeaux. Difficult weather at the beginning of the year and especially in April, punctuated by a devastating frost, tested the abilities of this great property. Thanks to the vineyard team, who stayed up for several nights to guard the fires protecting the vines from frost, about 50% of the vineyard was saved. The meticulous work and mild weather of the months that followed made it possible to create a very beautiful wine indeed.

The Château Coutet 2017 is extremely pleasant. The aromatic complexity on the nose is dominated by citrus (lemon in particular) and complemented by floral notes, confirmed on the palate as both lively and generous, achieving the signature balance of great Barsac wines. This wine is smooth on the palate and stays remarkably fresh. The finish of this Château Coutet 2017 is superb, with a very significant aromatic persistence.

    WINE ADVOCATE-PARKER:

The 2017 Coutet has a super intense nose of ripe apricots, honey-coated nuts, warm pineapple and mango with touches of nutmeg and orange blossoms. Rich, sweet and unctuous, it has wonderful intensity and depth, finishing with fantastic length.

    SHIRAZ WINE

    AUSTRALIA

The South Eastern Wine Region of Australia covers a wide range of wine growing areas, including the eastern parts of South Australia down to the Coonawarra, all the producing areas of Victoria and New South Wales and even the southern parts of Queensland. Grapes from the region can therefore originate from various areas and be blended to make some of the finest wines in Australia.

Our wines are made from grapes from a specific vineyard area that winds itself along both sides of Australia™s major waterways, the Murray River. Towns in this proximity include Merbein, Mildura, Red Cliffs, Robinvale and Euston. An estimated +20% of the national annual grape crush comes from this area.

This region is one of the major grape growing regions in the whole of Australia, as its long periods of sunshine giving hot and dry days in summer and more milder days in winter. Its natural water supply are perfect inputs for the production of beautiful grapes with fine ripe fruity flavours as evidenced in these wines we present to you.

In fact the Murray River is the most important water source, as the climate simply does not offer sufficient rainfall to sustain the production of grapes by itself. Over use of this water system for agriculture, however has placed an enormous strain on the river. It now has a high salt content and it is estimated that as low as only 20% of the water reaches the ocean in South Australia.

The climatic conditions help in the deterrence of disease, which can be a problem in other cooler regions with greater daily temperature changes and higher rainfalls. This means that year on year there is a good chance of presenting more consistent quality and quantity of wine than in some other areas.

Grapes are harvested from late January through to the middle of March, although in particularly during dry seasons this can be earlier. … the current season is one which is experiencing major drought conditions.

Our region produces a range of varietals, including of course the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon we present, as well as the Chardonnay. The reds from the region generally have medium to deep colour with heaps of fruit flavour. The chardonnays are the most important premium varietal of the region and also have rich and generous fruit flavours.

The Larral brand offers great quality wines at a superb value and are a good representation of one of the most important grape growing areas of Australia.

DELLE VENEZIE CABERNET SAUVIGNON IGT WINE

    ITALY

Cabernet Sauvignon IGT delle Venezie is a powerful wine, full bodied and persistent on the palate.

The grapes are generally harvested at the middle of October, pressed with elimination of stems (to avoid excessive astringency in the wine) and vinified in red: must an skins are left in contact for 10/15 days to allow the fermentation and the extraction of polyphenolic compounds which contribute to a wine’s colour, tannins and aromas. Pumpovers are carried out daily for a better extraction. Once fermentation is finished, the wine is separated from the pomace, aged in steel for 3-4 months and cold stabilized. Then it is filtered and bottled, to be put on the market about a month after the bottling.

    APPEARANCE

Limpid. Strong ruby red with shades of purple red.

Characteristic, fruity (blackcurrant and black cherry), spicy and lightly herbaceous

    DELLE VENEZIE MERLOT IGT WINE

    ITALY

Delle Venezie is an incredibly popular and recognizable IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) due to its large production and exportation of refreshing, crisp white wines produced from the Pinot Grigio grape.

Situated in northeastern Italy, the “Venezie” is representative of the “Tre Venezie” (or Three Venices), a reference to the three modern regions of Veneto, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, and Trentino-Aldo-Adige that once were part of the Venetian Empire.

Pinot Grigio wines reign supreme here, however additional red and white wines are produced from Garganega, Malyasia, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Verduzzo grapes.

DELLE VENEZIE PINOT GRIGIO IGT WINE

    ITALY

Pinot Grigio IGT delle Venezie is a dry wine with pleasant fruits scents. The harvest is slightly delayed, to assure a physiological ripeness of the grapes. They are hand picked in cases and vinified in white (must and skins are immediately separated) after a cold maceration that lasts 36 hours. This procedure, longer than the traditional one, grants a more intense color to the wine. Fermentation goes on for 8-10 days, while stabilization is carried out in 30 days. The wine is then filtered and bottled.

    SOAVE CLASSICO DOC WINE

    ITALY

Soave Classico DOC is a white wine characterized by its vibrant liveliness. Soave was in 1931 among the first Italian wines subject to a decree limiting the production area and was the first DOC area of Veneto when, in 1968, the name of the ‘Soave Superiore’ controlled origin was recognized. The use of the term ‘Classico’ is reserved for the product obtained by vinification of native grapes cultivated on the hills of the communes of Soave and Monteforte, where the classic or the historic one, originally and of the oldest tradition for this wine is located.

    ACINO D'ORO WINE

    ITALY

Chianti is one of the major symbols of Italy’s great wine-making tradition. The Acino d’Oro brand represents an expression of this culture.

After harvesting, the grapes are dirty-pressing. The maceration on the skins lasts about 10 days while the alcoholic fermentation, conducted at controlled temperature, protrudes in steel tanks for about 20-25 days. By means of replenishment, which consists in bathing the straw hat that due to CO2 climbs to the top of the tub, it is guaranteed a greater extraction of the compounds present in the skins, an aeration of the must that favors the multiplication of yeasts and a decrease in temperature of fermented must. This is followed by stabilization, filtration and bottling. Before being put on the market, it is subjected to a period of aging in the bottle of about 2 months, during which the balance between the different fractions and the different components is restored.

IL VINO DEGLI DEI AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOCG WINE

    ITALY

Amarone is a full bodied, balanced and pleasant wine. The selected harvest, the drying on trellises and ageing in small oak casks make it ‘Il vino degli Dei’ (The Wine of Gods).

The grapes are manually harvested in cases and taken directly in the drying room where, at a controlled temperature and ventilation they are left withering from the end of october until the first days of march, so that the grapes can eliminate most of their water of constitution. Fermentation occurs at a temperature of 18° C with daily pump-overs so to obtain a very alcoholic and structured wine, which is also rich in extract. It is then left ageing in small oak casks for a period of two years.

  • 19 CRIMES

    SERIES WINE

    AUSTRALIA

The men on the labels are not those of fiction. They were flesh and blood. Criminals and scholars. In history, they share a bond receiving “punishment by transportation.” It could have shattered their spirits. It didn’t. Today, we toast those men and the principles they lived by.

Nineteen crimes turned criminals into colonists. Upon conviction British rogues guilty of a least one of the 19 crimes were sentenced to live in Australia, rather than death. This punishment by “transportation” began in 1783 and many of the lawless died at sea. For the rough-hewn prisoners who made it to shore, a new world awaited.

As pioneers in a frontier penal colony, they forged a new country and new lives, brick by brick.

This wine celebrates the rules they broke and the culture they built.
